MEMPHIS MILANO NIKKO DRAWERS BY SHIRO KURAMATA (1982)

Born in Tokyo in 1934 and deceased in 1991, Shiro Kuramata is one of the great designers of the 20th century. His works are exhibited in various major museums, including the MoMA in Paris, the city where his design studio was located. He was also made Chevalier des Arts et lettres.
He rose to fame in the 1970s creating glass chairs and clear plastic furniture.
Close to Ettore Sottsass, he designed several pieces of furniture for Memphis Milano.
The stripped down style of its NIKKO furniture is minimalist and stripped down. NIKKO will fit perfectly into a classic or modern interior.
