Archilab Design Marcel Breuer lounge chair (1935)

This lounge chair was designed by Marcel Breuer (1902-1981) in 1935. It is the development of one of his aluminum works from 1932. Marcel Breuer is one of the fathers of modernism. He taught in the 1930s at the Bauhaus. He created in particular the famous B3 chair in steel tubes that we nickname the Wassily chair because it was designed for Wassily Kandinski. He fled Nazism then moved to New York. In the USA he designed villas, taught at Harward and then founded his own business.
Breuer is considered to be one of the greatest representatives of modernism. His lounge chair is also considered to be one of the masterpieces of design of the 20th century.
